Balanças Marques is the largest exporter of scales in Portugal

According to data of Portugal’ Statistics National Institute (Instituto Nacional de Estatística - INE), the company is responsible for 70,1% of the exports on the national weighing sector, on the year of 2019, maintaining the status of largest exporter of scales in the country.

Balanças Marques reasserts itself as the largest exporter of scales in Portugal. According to data from the National Statistics Institute (INE), exports from the company represented, in 2019, about 70% of the total volume of Portuguese sales of weighing equipment to markets abroad.

Among the main international destinations for Balanças Marques’ production are, according to INE, several European countries, but also countries from other parts of the globe. In addition to France and Spain, markets where the company has a consolidated presence, in the top 3 is also Chile, which is part of one of the most recent investments on internationalization and already represents 10.8% of the volume exported by the weighing equipment manufacturer.

For Balanças Marques, these numbers “mean a lot”. “The data shows the relevance we have been gaining internationally and proves the good work we have been doing. We can only thank everyone who has accompanied us in the process”, declares the company's management.

Distinguished with the status PME Excellence 2019 in Portugal, Balanças Marques has also been achieving more and more international recognition, namely in the Weighing Review Awards, in which it has already won the category of best weighing company in the world, best retail scale (with BM5 ARM) and best weighbridge (with PCM M1500e).
